Control of Rate-Bounded Hybrid Systems with Liveness Constraints

Michael A Heymann, George E. Meyer · Systems & control · 2001

Liveness in hybrid systems is defined as the ability of the system to complete a specified task under all operating conditions and for all possible runs. Liveness is classified in the present chapter into fixed-time, bounded-time, and finite-time liveness. We present an algorithm for synthesis of minimally-interventive controllers that achieve liveness in rate-bounded hybrid systems.
