Precision linear generator for the study of metal-dielectric-semiconductor structures

The author describes a linear generator with ranges of +10 to -10 and +100 to -100 V and a duration of 10/sup -3/ to 2 X 10/sup 3/ sec. Outstanding characteristics of the apparatus include smooth, independent adjustment of upper and lower linear voltage limits, independence of setting amplitude and rate of linear voltage variation, and choice of any constant component within output voltage limits. The output voltage nonlinearity does not exceed + or - 0.1%. The device also generates a square wave in the indicated voltage and duration ranges and is immune to overloading.
