High resolution coherent SAR product indexing for data mining applications

C. Patrascu, Mihai P. Datcu · elib (German Aerospace Center) · 2011

Synthetic Aperture Radar systems have largely developed from the launch of ERS-1 in 1991 resulting in a large volume of acquired data.Due to the extending capabilities of the existing and future systems (different operating frequencies or imagining modes) it has become impossible for the end user to manually index and classify the available products and extract the information needed for specific applications. In this frame, new indexing methods will be proposed to manage new type of coherently processed information.Studies will be performed on possible Knowledge Based Image Information Mining system (KIM) enhancements allowing adaptation of the already existing IIM systems for InSAR, DInSAR and PSInSAR data.
