End-User Searching in the Corporate Research Setting

A planning assessment for implementing end-user searching in a sci-tech research organization is presented. The special needs of a large, multidisciplinary research laboratory are appraised with emphasis on possbile contributions by the Library's professional searcher group. A test of the DIALOG Corporate Connection is described, along with a consideration of possible costs and benefits to both the Technical Library and to the corporation.
